Part B - Planning Context

Bringing growth to Greater Sydney and beyond.

Twenty years from now, we’ll be able to look back and realise how much Sydney – its culture, economy and people – has grown.

As a major catalyst for powerful change, our world-class airport has enormous potential to generate thousands of jobs – both directly and indirectly – across its first 20 years of operation. It can provide Australian businesses, producers and manufacturers seamless access to markets across the world.

WSI makes it possible for the region to welcome more international and domestic tourists than ever before and to make travel accessible to more Sydneysiders.

These 2 factors combined amplify the region’s cultural vibrancy and boost the local economy, bringing growth to Greater Sydney and beyond.

Part B of the master plan sets out how we’re expecting WSI to grow and drive growth over the next 20 years.
